Amanda and Brandon reached out to me one month before their wedding day to see if I could document their day. It wasn’t that they forgot to book their photographer, it was because they had literally started planning their wedding that day and were going to try and put together a full intimate wedding within one month. I was absolutely impressed by what they were able to pull off! They booked a beautiful intimate wedding venue in Tahoe called the Forest Suites Resort and had invited 30 of their closest friends and family. Because the venue was in their off season for weddings availability was much easier to get the date they wanted.
Luckily most of their friends and family lived close to Tahoe and didn’t have to make a very long trip. The only thing that could have been a little hic up with travel was the weather. It had called for Winter Storm on their exact weekend of the wedding. Fortunately there was a little break in the weather the day before so their guest were able to come up early and make the drive safely.
Brandon and Amanda were staying at the Resort in South Lake Tahoe and doing most of their wedding there but they still wanted to find a place close that could give them some beautiful photos. They chose Zephyr Cove as it has a beautiful mountain backdrop but close to the resort so easy access for their guest.
Whats beautiful about Winter in Tahoe as it calls for some epic snowy wedding pictures as long as the couple is good to go with wearing winter boots in their wedding clothes! Amanda and Brandon were completely open to it and because of that we got some of my favorite Winter Wedding pictures!
After some fun snowy mountain photos on the beach we went back to the Resort for the ceremony and reception. Amanda had the ceremony location decorated so beautifully with a Christmas vibe and tree lights it fit the mood perfectly. She told me she got all her decorations rush ordered online and they got their just in time! There was also a huge Christmas Tree and decorated fireplace in the entrance that the guest were able to take photos by.
Directly after the ceremony the guest were able to the cocktail hour next to the giant fireplace and then the reception space. I absolutely love how Amanda decorated the space with tree lighting and Christmas themed table settings! All in all, it was a beautiful intimate wedding day and felt like exactly what these two were looking for. Here’s some of the photos from their day and if you are looking for a photographer in Tahoe, please feel free to reach out!
