Stonetree Estate is a scenic hillside wedding venue in Novato, California, operated by Wedgewood Weddings. As a Northern California wedding photographer and videographer team, we’re always drawn to venues that combine beautiful views with a seamless guest experience, and Stonetree Estate does exactly that.
With rustic wood and stone details, sweeping valley views, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, it’s a venue that feels both elevated and welcoming. We recently had the opportunity to capture Jamie and Kevin’s black-tie Stonetree Estate wedding, and it was such a great example of how this space can be transformed into something truly personal and memorable.
Keep reading to see all the reasons why we love a Stonetree Estate wedding!

One of the things we love most about Stonetree Estate is how peaceful and tucked away it feels. The property is surrounded by rolling hills, mature trees, and layered landscaping that creates a really beautiful backdrop in every direction.
From a photography and videography perspective, there’s so much variety without needing to leave the venue. The terrace and pathways offer different angles and light throughout the day. It makes it easy to capture a variety of photos while keeping the timeline relaxed.
The getting ready space is another standout. There’s a large mirror that works perfectly for hair and makeup and getting dressed. Jamie spent the morning there with her closest friends and her daughters, and it felt calm and spacious.

Stonetree Estate weddings strike a really nice balance between structure and flexibility. The venue offers all-inclusive packages through Wedgewood Weddings, which helps simplify the planning process while still allowing couples to personalize their day.
Jamie and Kevin’s wedding is a great example of that. Their black-tie celebration included thoughtful and fun details throughout the day. They had an ice sculpture with their initials, a champagne tower, a s’mores roasting station, and even a smoke machine for their first dance. It all came together in a way that was elevated but still very them.
The flow of the venue also makes a big difference. Everything transitions naturally from one space to the next, which keeps the day feeling smooth for both the couple and their guests.

Stonetree Estate offers a couple spaces that can be used in different ways depending on your vision.
The terrace is the main outdoor space and one of the highlights of the venue. It overlooks the valley and features a beautiful wooden arch that serves as a focal point for ceremonies. Jamie and Kevin chose to exchange vows here, with floral arrangements and draped fabric adding a romantic touch.
This space also works well for cocktail hour, especially with the surrounding views and open layout.
The indoor ballroom offers a completely different feel, with exposed rafters and large picture windows. It’s a great option for receptions and can also be used for ceremonies if you prefer an indoor setting.
For Jamie and Kevin’s reception, the space was filled with energy right from the start. The wedding party made a memorable entrance with oversized cutouts of the couple. Later in the evening, the dance floor was packed and everyone was having fun.

Stonetree Estate is a great fit for couples who want a scenic Northern California wedding with a balance of natural beauty and convenience.
If you’re looking for:
…this venue gives you all of that and more.
It’s especially ideal for couples who want a polished and well-organized day without needing to coordinate multiple locations.

Plan time for a private moment before the ceremony. Jamie and Kevin shared private vows during a “first touch,” standing on either side of a stone column and holding hands without seeing each other. It was quiet, emotional, and gave them space to connect before the ceremony.
Take advantage of golden hour. The light here in the evening is beautiful, especially out on the terrace and surrounding areas. It’s worth building a little space into your timeline for portraits during this time.
Lean into the indoor-outdoor flow. Whether you’re hosting cocktail hour outside or transitioning into the ballroom for your reception, the venue is designed so well.

Pricing can vary depending on your guest count, package selections, and time of year. As part of Wedgewood Weddings, Stonetree Estate offers customizable all-inclusive packages that can include catering, bar service, coordination, and more.
