Palisades Tahoe Wedding | Lauren & Ian

We had so much fun with Lauren and Ian at their summer Palisades Tahoe wedding! This beautiful wedding was a long time coming. Lauren and Ian met in graduate school while studying science. However, they didn’t go on their first date until after they graduated. Fast forward to today, with Lauren recently earning her PhD and Ian thriving as a local firefighter, they chose to celebrate their love with a dream wedding at the stunning Palisades Tahoe. It was the perfect way to honor their journey!

Their High Camp Palisades Wedding

We loved being part of Lauren and Ian’s High Camp wedding! This venue is one of our favorites and is popular among couples for good reasons. With several wedding venue options—both mountainside and mountaintop—for ceremonies and receptions, couples have plenty of choices for their Palisades weddings.

Lauren and Ian chose High Camp, which is located at the top of the mountain and accessible by a scenic tram ride. High Camp is known for its expansive views of the Sierra Mountains. It’s an unforgettable spot for a wedding ceremony!

One of the best parts of a Palisades Tahoe wedding is the gorgeous meadow around the resort. It makes for the perfect backdrop for wedding photos and is conveniently close to the hotel. Lauren and Ian got ready at the Palisades Hotel, which is connected to the tram that takes everyone to the top of the mountain. Their Upper Deck at High Camp Wedding Ceremony

Lauren and Ian’s wedding ceremony took place at the incredible Upper Deck at High Camp. This rooftop venue overlooks the mountains, offering a remarkable backdrop for their vows. Also, it can hold up to 225 guests and has a nearby outdoor space for the cocktail hour.

Lauren, escorted by both of her parents, walked down the aisle to Ian as their guests watched with joy. After exchanging vows and sharing a kiss, Lauren and Ian exited the ceremony to cheers and applause. It was a perfect moment against the impressive mountain scenery.

Their Terrace Room at High Camp Wedding Reception

After their outdoor ceremony, Lauren, Ian, and their guests gathered indoors at the Terrace Room at High Camp for the reception. The room’s expansive windows provided panoramic views of the mountains and filled the space with beautiful natural light.

As the sun began to set, we slipped out for some stunning sunset photos, soaking in the breathtaking 360-degree mountain views. It was a photographer’s dream come true!

Afterward, Lauren and Ian rejoined their loved ones to dance the night away as newlyweds!
