Shelby and Alex had reached out to me looking to do an adventure session and were down for anything! These two were already avid hikers and loved the outdoors. They wanted to mix in adventuring and photos and capture their new pup Beck, the cutest 6 month year old long haired German Shepard ever! I sent them some location ideas around the lake and we found the perfect spot for them! An offshoot lake of Lake Tahoe with a 3 mile hike. Just long enough to be an adventure, but short enough to cover a 2.5 hour session. Here’s a little bit about their adventure photo session!

The hike amazing view all around with rock stairs. All together is was about a 45 minute hike to the lake but in the middle of the hike there is a beautiful overlook of the iconic Emerald Bay of Lake Tahoe. A great spot to stop and take photos!

Once we got the lake they changed out of their hiking gear and into their first set of outfits and we adventured around to find some great photos spots! The color of fall were just coming in around the lake and were absolutely beautiful!

Once the sun started going behind the mountain peaks we ended up getting the most amazing reflection off of the lake and ended up getting us some of my favorite photos I have ever taken! Such a magical place to take engagement photos, if almost felt like a fairytale.

Once we snagged up some great shots of the reflection, it was time to head back down the mountain. Even on the way back there were some great spots for last minute photos. The beauty of Lake Tahoe will never cease to amaze me.
