When it comes to eloping in Lake Tahoe, having an experienced team by your side makes all the difference. We have planned, photographed, and filmed more than 400 elopements throughout Northern California, and we know this landscape by heart. From quiet forests to sweeping overlooks, we understand the light, the seasons, and the places that naturally bring out the best moments.
But our experience is only part of what we offer. We’re a husband-and-wife team who care deeply about helping you feel comfortable, supported, and excited for your day. Couples come to us for more than beautiful photos and video. They come for guidance, ease, and the reassurance that everything is taken care of.
And as our passion for elopements has grown over the years, so has our family’s involvement. Our eldest daughter, Araya, has slowly been stepping into the creative side of the business, and watching her find her talent in this work has been one of the greatest joys of all.

Are you available to travel outside of Northern California?
We live in the beautiful city of Grass Valley, CA, and there's no place quite like home, so we primarily focus on elopements in Northern California.
Would we have to hike during our adventure elopement?
Not if you don’t want to! Remember, your elopement is yours, and we want it to reflect activities that are meaningful to you! We know all the best hiking and non-hiking spots with gorgeous views, and can even recommend ADA-accessible areas.
How far in advance should we book our adventure elopement?
As soon as you know you want to work with us, it’s best to reach out! While we can accommodate much shorter timelines if our schedule is open, we suggest giving yourself at least six months' notice for a more comfortable, relaxed planning experience.
How much planning is included exactly?
What do we do if the weather is bad on our elopement day?
We can photograph rain or shine! However, California also has wildfires and snowstorms, so we choose to be flexible. We understand that sometimes things are out of anyone's control. If you're eloping during wildfire season or winter, we create multiple backup plans so we’re ready to pivot at a moment's notice. Luckily, California has so many fantastic locations that it's easy to find alternative options!
Are we allowed to invite guests and/or children?
Absolutely! Kids and family are always welcome to join us. As a family of four, we make time for family adventures and bring our kiddos everywhere, so we love when couples bring them along! Our elopement packages and planning services are available for guest lists of 20 or fewer.
Do you help with permits and marriage license information?
Yes. We guide you through every requirement so everything is handled properly and stress-free.
What time of day is best for photos and video?
Golden hour is ideal, but we plan around lighting, weather, and location accessibility to get the best results.
How long until we receive our photos and video?
You’ll get sneak peeks within a few days, full photo galleries within a few weeks, and videos shortly after depending on your package.
Do you offer location suggestions?
Yes! You’ll receive our detailed Location Guide with curated spots based on scenery, lighting, accessibility, and your vision.
Can you help us choose outfits for weather + terrain?
Absolutely. We offer styling guidance and practical tips so you stay comfortable and look amazing.
Can you accommodate mobility limitations or accessibility needs?
Yes. We have beautiful non-hiking locations and will tailor the day to whatever you need.
Will you officiate our ceremony?
Yes, Lee and Carol are licensed officiants (CA + NV), and we can also arrange a religious officiant upon request. You’re always welcome to bring your own, too.
Do you help us plan a timeline?
Yes. We build a custom timeline that considers lighting, terrain, weather, travel times, and all your priorities.
Can we bring our dog?
In most cases, yes—many elopement locations are dog-friendly. That said, every location has its own rules, permits, and leash requirements.Once we finalize your specific location, we’ll confirm what’s allowed and handle the logistics ahead of time so there are no surprises. If bringing your dog is important to you, we’ll make sure it’s factored into the planning from the start.
Do you offer video-only coverage?
Yes, we offer video-only elopement coverage when available.
